For two years, the Park Tool Tech Summits have been hailed as successes by the mechanics that attended and the shop owners who sent them. This January, the Tech Summit comes to a new city.
The cities that will host the 2011 Tech Summits are:
• Philadelphia, PA (January 17th, 17th)
• Chicago, IL (January 24th, 25th)
• Long Beach, CA (February 7th, 8th)
The Park Tool Tech Summit is a hands-on training event for professional bike shop mechanics. The teachers are the service experts from the top component brands in the world. Classes are designed to keep shop mechanics up to speed on servicing the latest technologies in the bicycle industry. There are two days of classes. Each class lasts approximately 3 hours. There are three sessions each day for a total of six classes. Classrooms are fully equipped with all of the Park Tool products necessary to complete the designated service.
The registration fee is $200.00 and it includes the classes, handout materials, continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and a certificate of participation. Discounted hotel and parking rates have been negotiated for Tech Summit attendees. There will also be a reception held on Monday night in each city featuring refreshments and prizes. Class sizes are limited and only professional mechanics will be admitted, so register early.
